Changes to the Welfare System

Welfare reform sees the introduction of a wide range of changes to the social security system in Northern Ireland. Some benefits will cease to exist and new benefits and payment systems are being introduced.

The Welfare Reform (Northern Ireland) Order 2015 is introducing many changes to our current benefit systems. It will see many of them scrapped, with new benefits and payment systems introduced.
