If you home is a newly built property it will be subject to a “defects liability period” which means the contractor who constructed the property is responsible for all defects for a defined time, usually one year. The Association will still endeavour to get repairs carried out within the timescales listed above but all repairs are outside the normal response maintenance service. Repairs during this period should still be reported to the Association in the normal way.
