OUR BRIAN MULLAN COMMUNITY FUND AWARDS 2021 – NOW OPEN
The Association is delighted to again welcome applications from community or voluntary sector groups/organisations seeking to avail of essential funding to deliver projects and/or services within North Belfast.
Previously, via this Fund, the Association has distributed more than £30,000 to 37 local organisations throughout North Belfast.
The health & wellbeing of those residing within the communities we serve is extremely important to us. This initiative has been designed to support groups/organisations to deliver local projects which promote inclusion, strengthen communities, and improve individuals lives.
We therefore are seeking to invest in activities that have a significant and positive social impact for all.
Our Brian Mullan Community Fund of £10,000 aims to support community and voluntary groups/organisations that are currently operating within North Belfast, to deliver one of the following fund objectives:
- developing social, economic and employability skills or
- working to create a better local environment and develop safer communities for all or
- working to improve physical and mental health and wellbeing.
We believe these objectives will help people become more empowered and active in developing and delivering their own solutions locally and that organisations that put equality at the heart of project design and implementation are more likely to achieve better outcomes.

Any community or voluntary groups/organisations wishing to apply must:
- be based within North Belfast or
- intend to deliver their proposed project within the North Belfast area.
Applications are available on request from 9:00am on Monday, 11th October 2021.
All completed applications must be submitted via email to m.hamilton@newingtonha.co.uk or delivered to Newington Housing Association, 63 – 75 Duncairn Gardens, Belfast, BT15 2GB by 12:00pm (noon), Friday, 5th November 2021.
