Camberwell Court Resident’s Activities, Trips & Local Inter-generational Project

There is no doubt the residents at Camberwell Court have had a busy few months. There has been an array of events held both internally and external, ranging from armchair aerobics, boccia ball, movie afternoons, lunch club, coffee mornings and bingo, their grow gardening project, bus trips, etc.

Over recent weeks, Newington H.A. staff and youth workers from New Lodge Youth Centre (NLYC) have worked in partnership, along with residents from within Camberwell Court, young people from NLYC and New Lodge Arts to develop a programme of events to promote intergenerational relationships.

The eight-week programme will with the young people from NLYC holding a thankyou party for the residents, for all their help, guidance and support during the programme.

All participants involved have indicated that the project was extremely beneficial and rewarding to all those involved.
