New Lodge Redevelopment Update

Following on from the handover by us of 18 new homes in December 2018, the Association is pleased to announce that we have now allocated the next phase of the redevelopment.

Phase 4, which consists of 2 x 3 Person/2 Bed Homes, 8 x 5 Person/3 Bed Homes and 4 x 6 Person/4 Bed Homes ( 14 new homes) have all been accepted. Those offered the accommodation are due to move into their new homes on Monday, 1st April 2019.

The Association intends to hold a Tenant Information Day for all new tenants whom are being re-housed within Phase 4. On the day, representatives from Newington Housing, statutory, community and voluntary organisation deliver an overview of their organisation and what services and/or support is available from them.

The event is being held in the New Lodge Youth Centre, 117 Upper Meadow Street, Belfast, BT15 2FQ on Thursday, 21st March 2019 from 3:30pm – 4:30pm. In the past, these event have been vital in assisting new tenants to quickly settle into their new homes and to more easily avail of vital local amenities and services, if/when they require them.

The final phase of the redevelopment (Phase 5) is also nearing completion, with the remaining 17 new homes expected to be handed over in mid-May 2019. It will consist of the following house types:

8 x 3 Person/2 Bed Homes (which includes 2 x 3 Person/2 Bed Apts.)

7 x 5 Person/3 Bed Homes
