Community Clean Up Day

As a result of partnership working with several local councillors, the Association has arranged for SEVEN builders skips to be located in the following areas this Friday, 1st May 2020, from 9:00am until 1:00pm.These skips are to allow local residents to dispose of household items/excess waste, which may have built up over the past few weeks, due to the outbreak of COVID-19.

They will be placed at the following locations:

*Newington/Limestone (2 skips): One at the corner of Lakeview/The Glen and other at the corner of Parkend Street/Limestone Road.
*New Lodge (3 skips): One at corner of Stratheden Street/Meadow Close, one at corner of Spamount Street/Meadow Place and the other at the corner of North Queen Street/Park.
*Girdwood (1 skip): This skip will be located at the corner of Kinnaird Street/Kinnaird Terrace.
*Dunmore/Alexandra Park Avenue (1 skip):This skip will be located at the corner of Dunmore Walk/ Alexandra Park Avenue.

Please note: We would ask all residents not to overfill these skips (i.e. refrain from placing items into the skip once full) and also not place any of the following items into them:

• Food/Kitchen waste,
• Paints,
• Waste oil,
• Tyres,
• Plasterboard,
• Carpet/ carpet tiles,
• Fluorescent tubes,
• Gas bottles,
• Fridges,
• TV’s/Computer monitors,
• Lino/plastic flooring,
• Ceiling tiles,
• Asbestos,
• Japanese Knotweed.
